Committee on Space Research underscores international cooperation

At the 45th Committee on Space Research (COSPAR) in Busan, Yoon Young-bin, head of the Korea AeroSpace Administration (KASA), emphasized the importance of international collaboration in space exploration and science for the benefit of humanity. Yoon highlighted that to become a significant member of the international space community, Korea will actively engage in cooperative activities. The event, held at Bexco in Busan, gathered around 3,000 space scientists and industry officials from over 60 countries. High-level representatives from major space agencies, including NASA, China National Space Administration, and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, attended the forum. Yoon introduced KASA and discussed Korea’s commitment to international cooperation in space. COSPAR, established in 1958, has focused on promoting scientific research in space and has become a biannual event since 1982.
